The parish welcomed the children who are to begin preparation to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist, or First Holy Communion, to their enrolment ceremony during Mass on Sunday the 17th of October.

Between now and October, the children, and their parents, will attend sessions led by Canon Alan and the parish Catechists. During these sessions, they will explore the essential elements of the Catholic faith and the importance of Mass and the Eucharist.

The sessions started this week and the children will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation next March before the big day in June. It was lovely to see so many children at Mass and we look forward to seeing them develop as they complete the course.

We wish the children and their families our prayers and support.
