May 29th saw our first parish auction of promises. Many generous offers were made by parishioners and friends of the parish. A small but eager crowd attended for the auction night and bids were made by those unable to attend. A huge £1,800 was raised at the event with the money going towards our parish church building fund.

We would like to say a huge you to all those who made promises and who bid on the promises. Also many thanks to the fundraising group who organised the event and our auctioneer.

Here are some photos from the event.

We have many more events planned over the coming months and we would be really happy if you could join us at one of these. The next is our parish race night where big prizes can be won. Make sure you contact Bryan O’Leary on [email protected] or put your name down at the back of the hall after Mass at the weekend to get tickets.

Other fundraising activities which will be happening over the coming months include the re-run of the Dragon Boat event, spinathon, Goathland Sponsored Walk, Parish Garden Party and more besides!

Please follow watch our fundraising blog on the website and follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date.
