Over several years the Parish Finance Committee has approached the Diocese on behalf of the parishioners of St Therese of Lisieux Parish, with proposals for building a Church in Ingleby Barwick, most recently in Autumn 2009.

The committee made a presentation which included the financial, practical and spiritual needs of the parish at the time. Whilst the diocesan finance Committee felt the presentation was balanced they were concerned about the ability of the Parish to repay any loan back to the Diocese.

You will have noticed a significant increase in the number of parishioners and so we have put together a new proposal to go back to the Diocese to convince them of our real need for a church building in Ingleby Barwick and that we have a robust plan to pay back an loan to the Diocese.

We are already organising regular events that contribute to the Church Building Fund but we also need to show that the parishioners can contribute on a regular basis. To that end we are once again collecting names of parishioners who would be willing to give regular donations to the Parish Building Fund as this will form the major part of the money we plan to raise every year.
