Sharing social events is an important part of any family and this is no exception in the parish family of St Therese of Lisieux.
We have a group of parishioners who are planning and organising various social events throughout the year.
They would be more than happy for anyone who has any ideas or is interested in helping out to contact them and become involved.
Please use our contact page if you have ideas.
SOCIAL EVENTS DATES
28th March – St Therese’s Got Talent
After last year’s talent contest of the year, the bar has well and truly been set. We are looking for singers, dancers, comedians etc to entertain us for about 5 minutes on stage. A panel of judges will choose the three best entrants and they will then battle it out for the public vote. Everyone can bring their own refreshments and a £3 entrance fee will be charged.
20th April – Easter Sunday Decorative Egg Competition
As previous years, we will have an egg competition for under age 9s and over age 9s where children can bring their decorated egg to Easter Sunday mass and Father Pat will choose the winners. Entry will be £2 for each egg entered.
28th June – Parish Sleepover
Everyone is invited to the school field to set up camp and enjoy some family games and sing along fun. Tent pitches will be charged at £10 and please bring food and drink for the evening. Remember a torch!
20th July – Summer Garden Party
Everyone is invited to attend the summer garden party and it will again be held at the school. The party will consist of an evening BBQ and music and we hope to have a few stalls too. The cost will be £5 per ticket. The afternoon will start at 3 p.m. with BBQ from 4 p.m.
5th September – Harvest Festival Mass
We want to make the harvest festival mass really special and families are invited to bring products to church where they will be placed around the altar. A raffle will take place after mass to raise as much money as possible. Refreshments will be available.
21st September – Parish Treasure Hunt
Back to the traditional treasure hunt in the car! Families set off from the school car park and points will be awarded along the route with the results announced back at the finishing point at the school. The full treasure hunt will take approx two hours.

with the fun and games that mimic the show …… and one or two might just get a surprise!
