Fundraising is an important function of the Parish.
We depend on financial contributions from parishioners to enable us to keep the parish running. Sunday collections contribute to costs including heating and lighting and upkeep for the church. We also have to fund the parish house.
The parish also has a long-term debt to the Diocese for the costs of building the Church. Although the parish was successful in raising the £80,000 needed to furnish the church we still have to repay the £1.4 million pounds it cost to build the church.
Many parishioners already contribute regularly and we are very grateful for that. However, if you are a UK tax payer the parish can claim back an extra 25% from the government of all your contributions through the Gift Aid scheme. You will be able to find out more about how you can do this by the link at the bottom of the page.
Once again thank you for your ongoing support of the parish.
